“European Wars: Cossacks, from CDV Development, is a historical real-time strategy game based on events of 16th to 18th century Europe. The ability to orchestrate grand battles of up to 8,000 units is itself something amazing to behold. Players should also be pleased to find resource management a breeze, with seemingly unlimited numbers of workers carrying out the daily tasks of mining, chopping, and food gathering. Despite some interface glitches, map navigation is very similar to that of Microsoft’s Age of Empires. This demo includes one single-player map — where you play as Spaniards against one computer opponent — and one multiplayer map. The full game will highlight each country’s original graphics, economic and technical development peculiarities, military advantages and drawbacks, and unique units and technologies.”
