Description: As Charles XII had crushed Denmark, won a battle against the Russians in the taking of Narva and invaded poland, he went with a 80.000 man strong army heading for Moscow. The Russians burned their own land and the Swedes served great losses. The swedish army led by Charles XII, or Carolus Rex, had to head south, and met the Russian army near the village of Poltava in 1709.
