Cossacks map: BadHarvest
Description: Unpack the map as usual with Winzip into the Cossacks main directory and call it up under Single player/ Specific map/ BadHarvest.m3d call it up.
The game colours are blue (Russia), white (Poland) and black (Austria). Black (Austria). They must therefore be set up as computer opponents.
For beginners, the game setting "easy" or "normal" will still be hard enough to difficult enough to get to grips with resource management. Because unlike what you are used to many areas on this map are barren. I.e.: Even if you build a mill on a seemingly lush meadow, no grain will grow. Nearby there is still a a piece of soil the size of a hand towel with winter barley. It is therefore advisable to build the first mill right next to it. But beware! The field is quickly harvested and gradually exhausted. and will be exhausted little by little.
One way out can be to build a harbour for fishing. This requires a lot of caution with the resources of food, wood and stone. A small consolation: the PC opponent is not much better PC opponent is not much better, although there are one or two good resource sources to conquer there.
Under the game setting "difficult" and "very difficult" you should entrench yourself in good time. Even if one or two opponents are finished. The black Austrians are catching up enormously.
P.S. The map was largely created with the new map editor (Patch 0.19). A few textures and individual trees could not be reproduced when loading under the normal Cossacks game interface. By the way, this also applies the other way round. "Originals" such as pack horses and boilers and logically all units that are not Austrian no longer appear under 0.19. So don't be surprised if you want to view or change the map yourself in the new map editor.
