Cossacks map: Beresteczko

Description: This re-creates the blooody engagement of Wallachians, Tartars, Cossacks and Lithuanians (Red and Orange) under Bogdan of Wallachia against their Polish rulers. The Polish army (black) can be taken by one player and also proxy-played by a second. It is thought that the rebels outnumbered the Poles 300,000 to 100,000 though armies of that size are highly unlikely. Nevertheless, it was a bloody defeat for Bogdan who then sought Russian help, opening the way for Russia's eventual claiming of Ukraine itself. A multi-player standard game. No upgrades or building allowed.
